22[A,B,AB] (Arrow Rain)

22A (A Arrow Rain)

  • Great button for covering full-screen pressure tools like scan

  • Can be used as a setplay tool after sweep, but notes are the stronger option

  • Covers the entirety of its vertical space, meaning it can prevent air approaches while it is active

  • The activation animation has a hitbox which is slightly plus on block, but will not hit if Rise is absolutely point-blank from the opponent. This does not happen often though

  • Activation animation hitbox does not hit crouching opponents

  • 29 frames of startup on first hitbox, 84 frames of startup for second hitbox, 47 frames of recovery, make sure not to throw this out in neutral unless your opponent can't punish it

22B (B Arrow Rain)

  • Looks like A version, can be used to trick an opponent into blocking or running into the hitbox

  • Has a small blind spot in the center where the opponent will not be hit

  • Covers the entirety of its vertical space

  • Activation animation has a hitbox that is slightly plus on block which hits on crouching opponents and is slightly wider than A version

  • 33 frames of startup on first hitbox, 88 frames of startup for second hitbox, 51 frames of recovery, do not use it freely if your opponent has tools to punish it

22AB (SB Arrow Rain)

  • Tracks the opponent without needing scanned property

  • Covers the entirety of its vertical space

  • Initial hitbox is the same as B version, slightly more plus on block

  • 25 frames of startup on first hitbox, 80 frames of startup for second hitbox, 40 frames of recovery, less susceptible to punishes than the other versions but still very punishable if the opponent has tools to deal with full-screen pressure

On Scanned Status

  • All versions will track and have their patterns changed

  • SB version will inflict shocked status
