236[C,D,CD] (Disc)

236C (C Disc)

  • Relatively fast midscreen poke tool

  • Hits once

  • 12 frames of startup with 57 frames of recovery, if you use this to poke make sure that you hit them with the farthest end of this

  • Wall-bounces at midscreen, can be one more cancelled on counter hit for a combo conversion

  • Good ender for air combos if you want to put the opponent at full screen and reset pressure, or if 2B won't connect

236D (D Disc)

  • More delayed, and travels farther than C version

  • Hits multiple times on departure and return

  • Can be used to force an opponent to block on wakeup if used after sweep, but leaves you at -4 if blocked (tick throw setup?)

  • 24 frames of startup, and 61 frames of recovery, do not use this as a poking tool

236CD (SB Disk)

  • As fast as C version, and travels farther than D version

  • Hits multiple times on departure and return

  • Can be used to extend standing midscreen combos when damage is needed to close out the round

  • Can be used to bait out reversal options on wakeup due to its range and active time

  • 12 frames of startup, 51 frames of recovery

On Scanned Status

  • All discs will home into the opponent and turn into multi-hitting hitboxes on contact. After contact, they will linger on the opponent for a set amount of time, giving you an opportunity to close the distance.
